After United were walloped by Crystal Palace on Monday 4-0, it was revealed that Richards' 41st-minute assist for Jean-Philippe Mateta was the 46th time an U.S. international had laid on a goal in Europe's 'big five' leagues this campaign. They now only trail Brazil and Argentina as non-European countries with the highest number of assists on the continent this campaign.

The U.S. have been balling in Europe this season, with Weston McKennie and Christian Pulisic leading the pack. The AC Milan winger has accumulated nine assists across all competitions for the Rossoneri, while McKennie has notched 10 for the Bianconeri in Italy as well. The 22 assists recorded across all competitions from USMNT trio Sergino Dest, Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi at PSV aren't being taken into consideration for the stat.
