[ad_pod ]Loads of Newcastle fans are reacting to some comments from Gary Neville, as the Sky Sports pundit slammed the style of football the Magpies played under Rafael Benitez.Benitez to Steve Bruce, a Champions League winner to an FA Cup runner-up, a former Liverpool and Real Madrid boss to a former Hull City and Sunderland boss, a world-renowned tactician to the man with the second-lowest win percentage of any Premier League manager to take charge of over 200 games. To Neville though, Magpies fans won’t miss the Benitez era, as the pundit has claimed he was “bored†whenever he went to St. James’ Park over the last few years.”To me, I’m not knocking Rafa Benitez – I think he is a brilliant manager – but I think Newcastle, when I go up there, it should just be mad,” he told Sky Sports, via The Chronicle.”It should be really loud, the games should be mad. There should be incident and excitement. To be fair, some games are always 0-0. Every time I went up there over two years, I was bored. I was bored.””Unsurprisingly, fans have taken issue with the comment from Neville, mainly due to his own managerial failings. The Manchester United legend joined Valencia as head coach back in 2015, but managed just 28 league games, only ten of which he won.Check out some of the Toon Army’s reactions to his comments down below…
