Maupay is no stranger to a wind up and after already mocking England in the European Championships, the striker has once again made the Three Lions the butt of the joke. Southgate has been criticised for the manner in which his England side have performed and French forward Maupay is keen to rub yet more salt in the wounds of England fans.

France have also been criticised for the defensive manner in which they have played this tournament. The French have scored just three goals in five games with one coming from the spot and two via own goals. Despite their struggles in front of goal, France progressed to the semi-finals and Maupay is insistent they will be victorious.
WHAT MAUPAY SAID
Responding to criticism of France so far this tournament at the British Grand Prix this weekend, Maupay retorted: "As an Englishman you can't talk about fluidity and how the way we play, respectfully. We know how to win. With [Didier] Deschamps, he knows how to get the team going and I am convinced we are going to win."

After the end of his loan at Brentford, Maupay will return to his parent club Everton ahead of the new season. The striker has struggled at Goodison Park and Sean Dyche may look to move Maupay on to a new club this summer.
